LOS ANGELES, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night in their back-to-back game at the Staples center by 127-117.

The Thunder faced a tough defence from the Clippers at the first half of the match, but led by their big three of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Paul George, the Thunder turned around the game after the Clippers used up all of their strength.

The Thunder took the lead for the first time in the third quarter and never handed it to the Clippers again.

Paul George scored 31 points, while Anthony shot 22 points and Westbrook took his 13th triple-double this season with 29 points, 11 assists and 12 rebounds.

The Clippers' three star players, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan and Lou Williams, who won Player of the Week for the Western Conference, got 24, 26 and 26 points respectively, but their efforts were fruitless on this night when OKC's Big Three combined for 82 points.

With the win, the Thunder stand in fifth place in the Western Conference, while the Clippers are still struggling to make the playoffs. Enditem
