SEOUL -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has accepted South Korea's offer to hold a senior-level, inter-governmental dialogue next week, Seoul's unification ministry said Friday.

Baek Tae-hyun, spokesman of the unification ministry, told a press briefing that the DPRK side sent a notice to the South Korean side at about 10:16 a.m. local time (0116 GMT) via the communications channel in the truce village of Panmunjom. (S. Korea-DPRK-Talks)

KATHMANDU -- The Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) and Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) have signed an agreement to construct a warehouse in Bhaktapur District of Central Nepal, officials said on Friday.

Wang Haijing, vice president of the Red Cross Society of China, and Dev Ratna Dhakhwa, secretary general of the NRCS signed the document on Thursday. (Nepal-China-Aid)

YANGON -- Six people were killed and another one was injured in landslide near a jade mine in Myanmar's Kachin state on Thursday evening, the Information Ministry said on Friday.

The landslide occurred due to the collapse of a 45.7-meter-high, 60.9 meter-long spoil tip which was formed by waste dug out by Nine Dragons (Mine Ayeyar) mining company at 3:30 p.m. local time. (Myanmar-Landslide)

NEW DELHI -- Air and train services have been severely hit in the Indian capital Friday as fog continued to wreak havoc in the city and adjoining areas since New Year.

Some 17 flights to and from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport and over 100 trains have been affected due to dense fog that has enveloped the city since the early hours of the day, officials said. (India-Fog) Enditem
