Dollar changes hands in upper 112 yen zone in early Tokyo trading

TOKYO, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone early Friday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 112.79-80 yen compared with 112.70-80 yen in New York and 112.57-59 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro fetched 1.2066-2066 dollars and 136.09-10 yen against 1.2063-2073 dollars and 136.00-137.10 yen in New York and 1.2027-2029 dollars and 135.39-43 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon. Enditem
