Dow closes above 25,000 for first time after strong jobs data

NEW YORK, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the Dow Jones industrial average breaking above 25,000 for the first time, as jobs data from the country came out positive.

The Dow added 0.61 percent, and the S&P 500 gained 0.40 percent, while the Nasdaq increased 0.18 percent. Enditem
