MUMBAI, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets closed higher on Thursday.

Benchmark indices have continued to hold on to the strong momentum as rally in PSU banks pushed up benchmark indices, with the Sensex rising over 100 points.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 33,969.64, 176.26 points or 0.52 percent up compared to its previous close at 33,793.38. Enditem
