Xinjiang tame Shenzhen 102-94 in CBA

URUMQI, China, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Powered by Darius Adams' game-high 38 points, defending champion Xinjiang rallied to beat Shenzhen 102-94 in the 22nd round of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Saturday night.

With 3 three-pointers from Gu Quan and He Zhongmian, visiting Shenzhen built a 9-0 lead at the beginning of the game. Then Meng Duo, the former Xinjiang guard, helped Shenzhen maintained the advantage with the score of 53-44 to end the first half.

The home team took the first lead in the last quarter with local shooters' phenomenon performance. After Adams hit two free throws, Xinjiang grabbed a hard-fought victory over Shenzhen.

Adams contributed a triple-double with 38 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists, followed by veteran Li Gen with 18 points.

Jared Sullinger got 21 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for Shenzhen. His teammate Meng Duo pocketed 16 points. Enditem
