Fifteen cycling teams confirmed participation in Tour de Indonesia

JAKARTA, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- A total of 15 cycling teams have confirmed their participation in Tour de Indonesia next month, association disclosed here on Thursday.

Head of the country's cycling association Parama Nugroho revealed that it required five more teams to meet the quota of 20 teams.

Tour de Indonesia is scheduled to be held from Jan. 25 to 28 in the country's main Java island and Bali Island.

He tour comprise four stages and will start from Borobudur Temple in Central Java province and will finish in Denpasar of Bali Island, he said.

"There are 15 teams registering into the committee, and we need 5 more to meet the quota," he was quoted by Juara media as saying.

The confirmed cycling team are from the United States, France, Australia, China's Hong Kong, Kazaskastan, Iran, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Japan, Chinese Taipei, the Philippines and South Korea. Enditem
