Dollar changes hands in lower 113 yen range in thin trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in a narrow range in the lower 113 yen zone Thursday morning in Tokyo, in thin year-end trade that demotivated some players.

At midday, the dollar was quoted at 113.15-16 yen compared with 113.32-42 yen in New York and 113.18-19 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1909-1909 dollars and 134.77-78 yen against 1.1881-1891 dollars and 134.73-83 yen in New York and 1.1866-1867 dollars and 134.30-34 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
