Zimbabwean president Mnangagwa appoints two VPs

HARARE, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Wednesday appointed Former Defense Forces commander Constantino Chiwenga and Defence, Security and War Veterans Minister Kembo Mohadi as the country's two vice presidents, with their swearing-in ceremony set for Thursday.

In a statement, Acting Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Christian Katsande said the appointment and swearing-in was in line with the Constitution.

The swearing-in follows the recent appointment of the two as the vice presidents and second secretaries of the ruling Zanu-PF party. Enditem
