ADDIS ABABA, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Wednesday.
-- Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn of Ethiopia on Tuesday conferred with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa.
The two have deliberated on ways to further strengthen the bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Egypt. (Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation/EBC)
-- Foreign Minister Workneh Gebeyehu held discussions with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry about bilateral issues, including the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
In a joint press statement, Workneh said the dam will not harm any country. "This dam has no single harm on Egyptians," he reiterated. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)
-- Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) on Tuesday signed agreements with construction firms to build three road projects at a cost of 1.8 billion birr (approximately 6.6 million U.S. dollars).
