Seoul shares open lower

SEOUL, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Seoul shares opened lower Wednesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) lost 12.83 points, or 0.53 percent, to trade at 2,414.51 in the first 15 minutes of trading.

South Korea's currency was quoted at 1,075.0 won against the U.S. dollar as of 9:15 a.m., up 1.1 won from the previous close. Enditem
