RABAT, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- The United Nations General Assembly announced on Sunday that Morocco will host the inter-governmental conference on international migration next year, Morocco's official MAP news agency reported.

The UN said the event is expected to result in the adoption of an inter-governmentally negotiated and agreed outcome, known as "Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration."

The Global Compact is a global agreement aimed at sharing responsibilities and ensuring security, peace, dignity, protection and respect for the human rights of all migrants and refugees. Enditem
