XINING, China, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- China's 2017-2018 National Curling Tournament kicks off on December 24 at Duoba National Highland Sports Training Base in northwest China's Qinghai province, attracting 30 participating teams from Beijing, Shanghai, Inner Mongolia and other cities or autonomous regions across the country.

This tournament will last 7 days.

"As the highest level curling competition in China, this tournament is good for improving the curlers' skills and popularizing curling among the public before Beijing 2022. Meanwhile, it will help to select young and professional curlers for the national talent pool," said Cairangtai, the director general of Qinghai Sports Bureau.

It is learned that the top eight teams in both men and women's field will be qualified for China's national curling team trials. Enditem
