NEW YORK, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted 251km N of Chichi-shima, Japan at 23:10:55 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 7.15 km, was initially determined to be at 29.3251 degrees north latitude and 142.6236 degrees east longitude. Enditem
