Oil prices waver narrowly amid stable rig count

NEW YORK, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices settled slightly higher Friday as data showed the number of U.S. oil rigs remained steady this week.

The West Texas Intermediate for February delivery increased 11 U.S. cents to settle at 58.47 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while Brent crude for February delivery added 35 cents to close at 65.25 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange. Enditem
