German shares close flat Friday

FRANKFURT, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 36.95 points, or 0.28 percent, to close at 13,072.79 points.

Deutsche Bank lost 2.03 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by Commerzbank and industrial giant Thyssenkrupp which lost 1.14 and 0.91 percent respectively.

Energy group RWE gained 1.65 percent, becoming the top gainer. Housing association Vonovia advanced 0.94 percent. Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical went up by 0.69 percent.

Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most traded share with a turnover of 152.10 million euros (180.28 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
