ROME -- A former member of an extreme-right organization who was sentenced to life in prison for a deadly 1974 bombing has been extradited to Italy from Portugal, local media reported Tuesday.

Maurizio Tramonte, now in his mid-60s, is a former member of the neo-fascist group Ordine Nuovo (New Order) and a former secret service informant.

He has been found guilty of the May 28, 1974, bombing at a peaceful demonstration in northern town of Brescia by teachers and labor unions that killed eight people and wounded 102 more. "I thank the Portuguese authorities for their collaboration," Italian Justice Minister Andrea Orlando tweeted Tuesday. (Italy-Neofascist )

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday passed the final Republican bill to overhaul the tax system in three decades, which would slash income taxes for corporations and individuals while widening American budget deficit and income inequality.

The Republican-controlled House approved the legislation, called the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, by a vote of 227-203, with all Democrats and 12 Republicans voting against it. Now the bill heads to the Senate, where lawmakers were due to have a final vote Tuesday evening. (US-Tax Bill )

SEOUL -- At least two strains of highly pathogenic bird flu were found in South Korea this winter, the country's quarantine agency said Wednesday.

The Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency (APQA) announced the result of its DNA analysis of viruses discovered at duck farms in Gochang and Yeongam in the country's southwestern region. (South Korea-Bird Flu)

MEXICO CITY -- At least 11 tourists traveling to the Mayan ruins in southeast Mexico died in an accident early Tuesday when their bus overturned, authorities said.

Many of the remaining 20 tourists were injured in the tragedy, which took place at 10 a.m. local time as the bus traveled along Mexico's Caribbean coast, near the resort of Mahahual in the state of Quintana Roo.

The tourists were all passengers from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship visiting the area. Among the passengers were Canadian and Italian nationals. (Mexico-Bus Crash) Enditem
