LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Four militants including a Taliban key commander Qari Feda Mohammad alias Mudasir Mawlawi were killed in airstrikes against militants in Afghanistan's troubled Helmand province on Wednesday, spokesman for provincial government Omar Zawak said.

"Acting on tip off the security forces conducted airstrikes and targeted the car of Taliban notorious commander Qari Feda Mohammad alias Mudasir Mawlawi killing him along with three of his armed men on a road in Marja district at around 11:00 a.m. local time today," Zawak told Xinhua.

Taliban militants who are in control of parts of the restive Helmand province are yet to make comment on the report. Enditem
