Dollar trades in upper 112 yen zone in morning on rise in Treasury yields

TOKYO, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen range Wednesday morning in Tokyo, supported by long-term U.S. Treasury yields rising higher overnight.

As of midday, the dollar was quoted at 112.93-94 yen compared with 112.83-93 yen in New York and 112.51-52 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1843-1843 dollars and 133.74-75 yen against 1.1834-1844 dollars and 133.60-70 yen in New York and 1.1805-1807 dollars and 132.82-86 yen in late Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
