1st LD: Saudi intercepts Yemen Houthis missile fired towards Riyadh

Xinhua,December 19, 2017 Adjust font size:

RIYADH, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Saudi-led coalition announced on Tuesday the interception of a missile launched towards Riyadh from Yemen, Al Akhbariya local TV channel reported.

The Saudi Air Force source confirmed that no damages or injuries were reported in the foiled attack that targeted the Saudi capital, while the airline traffic wasn't disturbed.

Houthi militias have been targeting various Saudi cities with missiles since the beginning of the war in Yemen in 2015.

The Saudi border cities are the most hit by missile attacks with casualties and property damages.

Besides the major conflicts between various political parties, different parts of Yemen have been targeted in airstrikes by the coalition's forces, mainly forces of Gulf countries. Enditem
