Dollar trades in upper-112 yen range amid profit taking, tax reform concerns

TOKYO, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper-112 yen zone in Tokyo on Tuesday morning, with some market players opting for gains amid some circumspection about the economic impact of a planned tax reform in the U.S.

As of midday, the dollar was quoted at 112.60-61 yen compared with 112.49-59 yen in New York and 112.67-68 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1787-1787 dollars and 132.72-74 yen, compared with 1.1777-1787 dollars and 132.54-64 yen in New York and 1.1780-1781 dollars and 132.73-77 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
