China Super League club signs Croatian Dragan Talajic as head coach

Xinhua,December 18, 2017 Adjust font size:

ZHNEGZHOU, China, Dec.18 (Xinhua) -- China Super League (CSL) club Henan Jianye has signed Croatian Dragan Talajic as head coach, the club said on Monday.

The 52-year-old Talajic was a former Croatian international who played as a goalkeeper and coached in clubs in west Asia and Thailand.

"We hope that Talajic can be immersed in Chinese football environment as soon as possible and bring new thoughts and tactics into team," Jianye said in a statement.

In 2017 CSL season, Chinese head coach Jia Xiuquan resigned from Henan Jianye for poor results after 12 rounds before Bulgarian Yasen Petrov was appointed as head coach and was fired 13 rounds later. Then Guo Guangqi, the club's general manager, led team to the season end and kept Henan away from relegation, finishing 14th in the 16-team league. Enditem
