Ruling parties from Sudan, China exchange views on future cooperation

KHARTOUM, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Sudan's ruling National Congress Party (NCP) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Saturday held joint talks in Khartoum on the sidelines of the NCP's Annual Conference of Thought which kicked off sessions here Saturday.

Kamal-Eddin Ismail, chairman of the NCP's external relations department, chaired his party side to the talks, while Vice-Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Li Jun, chaired the CPC party's side.

"We have reviewed the means for developing the joint cooperation relations between the two parties," Ismail told reporters following the talks.

"We have agreed on all the proposed issues at all levels together with the future projects at the political and economic frameworks and others," he noted.

Vice-Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Li Jun told reporters that "the talks summarized the valuable experiences in the relations of the two parties since their establishment more than 15 years ago."

"We have exchanged viewpoints on the future cooperation between the two parties and next year's program," Li added.

He went on saying that "I think the NCP and the CPC, as ruling parties, must reactivate the cooperation and exchange of experiences to play the role of the political leadership to enhance the official ties between the two countries as well as the cooperation in all fields."

Li is leading the CPC delegation to the annual conference, which opened in Khartoum ON Saturday with participation of representatives of China, Vietnam, Tunisia, Morocco and Ethiopia. Enditem
