Xinhua,December 16, 2017 Adjust font size:

URUMQI, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Imports and exports at Horgos Port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, bordering Kazakhstan, topped 100 billion yuan (15.1 billion U.S. dollars) by the end of November, Horgos customs announced Saturday.

From January to November, the import and export freight volume of the port reached 26.3 million tonnes, an increase of 11.56 percent compared with the same period last year. The port's trade volume has surged by 30 percent, accounting for more than 40 percent of imports and exports for the entire region.

Customs authorities said that increase in exports of hi-tech products, clothes, electronic devices and agricultural products had contributed to the growth in exports. Enditem
