SANYA, China, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- The 2017 Youth Sailing World Championships concluded on Friday, and the host city Sanya, a famous tropical costal city of South China's Hainan Province, was highly praised by its foreign guests on the closing ceremony.
Kim Anderson, president of World Sailing, said, "Sanya is gifted in its weather and waters, we should utilize them to the best."
As a first timer of China and Sanya, Martin Berardo, coach of Argentina, said he would give Sanya and this year's event 11 point if the full mark is 10.
"Chinese people are very nice and friendly here, I love Chinese people, I love this place," Berardo said.
"Sanya is really a wonderful place," said Italian Margherita Porro, winner of Girls' 29er. "It was an amazing week, especially when Italy got the Nation' s Trophy. I can't find any word to describe my feelings."
South Korean sailor Kim Seung referred to the host city as "Hawaii of China", and he was impressed by the efficiency of the organizers of the game.
"We don't have to wait too long before one race, that is better than many other games I've attended," Kim said. Enditem
