Spanish shares drop 0.82 pct Thursday

MADRID, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 0.82 percent or 84 points, to close at 10,176.50 points.

A total of 23 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the day.

Supermarket chain DIA went down 1.90 percent, followed by stainless steel manufacturer Acerinox and world's leading retailer Inditex that lost 1.87 percent and 1.84 percent respectively.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa led rises climbing 3.50 percent, being the top gainer of the blue chips. Casing company Viscofan rose 3.33 percent and telecommunication company Cellnex was up 0.77 percent. Enditem
