India says it's looking forward to working with new gov't of Nepal

NEW DELHI, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- India said here on Thursday that it looked forward to working with the new democratically elected government in Nepal and extended its support for the all-round development of the Himalayan nation.
"India has age-old unique time-tested ties of friendship with the country," Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar told media on Thursday.
"We look forward to working with the next democratically elected government in Nepal to advance our close and multi-faceted partnership across all sectors and to support Nepal in its pursuit of peace, stability, economic prosperity for all round development," he said.
According to results released by Nepal's Election Commission, the leftist alliance won 113 seats of the available 275 seats in the new federal parliament, becoming the winner of the landmark general elections since Nepal's transformation from a monarchy to a republic. Enditem
