Singapore stocks close 0.09 pct higher

SINGAPORE, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) closed up 0.09 percent or 3.23 points to close at 3468.77.

A total of 2.44 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.06 billion Singapore dollars (about 781.88 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 206 to 189.

The STI index closed up 0.15 percent or 5.09 points to close at 3465.54 on Tuesday. Enditem
