Hong Kong stocks close 1.49 pct higher

HONG KONG, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 428.22 points, or 1.49 percent, to 29,222.1 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 28,707.6 and 29,276.67. Turnover totaled 106.80 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 13.68 billion U.S. dollars). Enditem
