Xinhua,December 11, 2017 Adjust font size:

RAMALLAH, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian president's spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeinah said Monday that the coming period is very critical for Palestinians and will require bold decisions.

"What is required now is bold Palestinian and Arab decisions for the coming stage, which is very important and very critical. The Palestinians and the Arabs should stand together," reported the official Palestinian news agency (WAFA).

WAFA published Abu Rudeinah's statements from Cairo where Abbas is expected to hold a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in Cairo to discuss the latest developments and the agenda of the upcoming Islamic summit, which will be held in Turkey Wednesday, based on an emergency request by Turkey.

The summit is expected to discuss the implications of the U.S. decision on Jerusalem and Abbas is expected to address the summit.

Earlier this week, Abbas held talks with Jordanian monarch King Abdullah II to discuss the latest developments in the wake of U.S. president's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Enditem
