Kodaira and Bloemen set records at Speedskating World Cup

SALT LAKE CITY, Dec.11 (Xinhua) -- Two new world records were created on the final day of the Speedskating World Cup here on Sunday.
Canada's Ted-Jan Bloemen finished in 6:01.86 in the men's 5,000, shattering the previous record of 6:03.32 set by Sven Kramer in Calgary in November of 2007. With a result of 1:12.09 in the women's 1000 meters, Japan's Nao Kodaira broke the previous record of 1:12.18 set by American Brittany Bowe in Salt Lake City in November of 2015.
Denis Yuskov took the men's 1,000 in 1:06.92. Natalia Voronina won the women's 3,000 in 3:57.70.
China's Li Qishi finished in 1:14.60 to place fourteenth in the women's 1000. Her compatriot Tian Ruining placed 18th in 1:15.47. Enditem
