Zhejiang beat Liaoning 95-92 to end leader's seven-game winning streak

BEIJING, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- With Sonny Weems' game-high 34 points, Zhejiang beat leader Liaoning 95-92 in the 14th round of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday night.

The CBA league leader Liaoning engined a 9-0 run at the beginning of the game, and Zhejiang cut the gap to six points when the first quarter ended.

Zhejiang shooters found their hot hands in the third quarter, turning the table with 68-67 to head into the fourth quarter. Lester Hudson of Liaoning missed three attempts of the three-point, only to see Sonny Weems' sharp penetration to clinch the victory.

Zhejiang's Sonny Weems had a game-high 34 points, followed by 26 from Jarnell Stokes. Lester Hudson of Liaoning only added 25 points.

Thanks to five players' double-digit points, Shandong ended Guangsha four-game winning streak with 131-126 through overtime.

In other games, Shenzhen beat Fujian 135-130, Beijing took out Guangzhou 122-116, Jiangsu defeated Tongxi 107-91, and Shanghai downed Jilin 114-110. Enditem
