Ferry runs aground in France's Calais, no injuries reported

PARIS, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- A ferry carrying more than 300 passengers ran aground Sunday in the French port of Calais without causing any injuries, French media reported.

"The ship is stable. The captaincy is seeing how to return to normal," said provincial government of the French department of Pas-de-Calais, adding that the sea shipping has been interrupted, according to local media reports.

The provincial government has issued an orange vigilance on high winds via its twitter account Sunday afternoon. Enditem
