Kuwait to host Gulf Cup

CAIRO, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Kuwait Football Association on Saturday announced that Kuwait will host the Gulf Cup of Nations.

Ahmed Al Youssef Al Sabah, the head of Kuwait Football Association said that the tournament will be held on Dec. 22 and run until Jan. 5. The opening game will take place between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Kuwait offered to host the Gulf Cup after world soccer governing body FIFA this week lifted its suspension of the Gulf country from international football of more than two years. Enditem
