NAIROBI, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Saturday.

-- Envoys from Western countries, business and religious leaders on Friday met National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga in last-ditch efforts to stave a standoff sparked by his decision to be sworn in as People's President on Dec. 12.

Led by the U.S. and UK, the envoys urged Odinga to dialogue with Presidential Uhuru Kenyatta to end a political stalemate arising from controversial polls. NASA leaders said in a statement that they were committed to dialogue on reforms on security, electoral justice and the strengthening of devolution. (Saturday Nation)
