German shares close flat Thursday

FRANKFURT, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 46.30 points, or 0.36 percent, to close at 13,045.15 points.

European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.70 percent. Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and energy group RWE rose by 2.00 percent and 1.97 percent respectively.

German reinsurance company Munich Re lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 0.81 percent. Chemical group BASF and tire specialist Continental went down by 0.80 percent and 0.54 percent respectively.

German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom was the most-traded share with a turnover of 207.59 million euros (244.66 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
