Klinsmann's son ready to play his first professional against Ostersund

BERLIN, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Former German star forward Jurgen Klinsmann's 20-year-old son, Jonathan Klinsmann, will play for Hertha Berlin in their final Europa League match in Group J as his first professional game.

Pal Dardai, coach of Hertha, claimed that their goalkeeping coach Zsolt Petry convinced him that the youngster could play.

"Thomas Kraft is in bed with the flu, and we don't want to risk an injury for (first choice) Rune Jarstein," Dardai said.

Jonathan Klinsmann joined Hertha in July but has so far only played for the reserve team in the third division. He was born in California and played for the United States at this year's Under-20 World Cup in South Korea. Enditem
