Death of Korean museum curator in east China accidental: police

JINAN, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Police in east China's Shandong Province on Thursday confirmed that Kim Jae Won, a Korean museum curator, died of accidental suffocation while on business trip in Jinan, provincial capital of Shandong.

Kim, curator of the National Hangeul Museum in Seoul, was found dead in his hotel room in Jinan at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Police investigation verified that he died of asphyxiation after his airway was blocked internally.

Police have contacted the Korean consulate in Qingdao. Kim's relatives are expected to arrive in Jinan on Thursday. Enditem
