TRIPOLI -- At least two soldiers were killed and three others injured in clashes between army forces and extremists on Monday in the Libyan eastern city of Benghazi.
"The military operations are continuing in Ekhrebish area. Two of our troops were killed and three others were wounded as a result of the clashes with terrorist fighters," Miloud Al-Zwai, spokesman of the army's special forces, told Xinhua. (Libya-Clashes)

RIYADH -- Saudi-led coalition issued on Monday a warning to residents of Sanaa to stay away from Houthi militias' sites for their safety, Al Sharq Al Awsan online news reported.

ANKARA -- Turkish border troops detained Sunday 2,222 people for illegal border crossing, the Turkish military said on Monday.
About 2,131 people were held as they were attempting to enter illegally into Turkey from Syria, while 11 others were seized as they tried to cross the border into Syria, according to a statement released by Turkish General Staff. (Turkey-Border Troops-Arrest)

SANAA -- A senior Houthi official confirmed to Xinhua on Monday that former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, his nephew, relatives and the general secretary of Saleh's party were killed.
"Saleh and his party's Assistant General Secretary Yasser al-Awadhi were killed on Monday morning while they were trying to escape through Khawlan district on the southeastern outskirts of Sanaa on their way to escape to Saudi-backed government-controlled Marib province, " the official confirmed to Xinhua. MADRID -- A judge in the Spanish Supreme Court on Monday morning refused to grant a bail to Catalonia's former deputy leader Oriol Junqueras and three others detained for their role in the Oct. 27 independence declaration.
