JAKARTA, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's annual inflation accelerated at a slower pace in November for a fifth consecutive month, reaching the lowest since December last year.

The national statistics bureau announced on Monday that consumer price index increased 3.30 percent in November from a year ago, compared with 3.58 percent in October.

On month, consumer prices rose 0.20 percent in November, after going up 0.01 percent in October, he said.

"Inflation in November is contributed by hikes of chilly, onion and rice prices," head of the bureau Kecuk Suhariyanto told a press conference.

Annual core inflation scraping administered and volatile food prices, increased 3.05 percent in November, lower than 3.07 percent in October, Suhariyanto added.

In spite of the low inflation rate, the country's central bank may not trim its benchmark interest rate this year, in part to counter possible outflows of capitals ahead of issuance of monetary policy by the U.S. Fed. Reserve this month. Enditem
