HOUSTON, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- A shopping mall in Houston in the U.S. state of Texas was evacuated after reports of possible active shooting Saturday evening.

The police had responded to an alleged shooting incident in Macy's at Memorial City Mall, about 20 km west of Downtown Houston. A policeman at the scene told Xinhua that there was no evidence of any shooting.

Houston police said there will be a media briefing later in the day. Enditem
