Spanish shares drop 1.23 pct Friday

MADRID, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark stock market Ibex-35 down 1.23 percent or 126 points, to close at 10,085 points.

A total of 31 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the day.

Consultancy and technology company Indra A went down 4.37 percent, followed by Spain's third largest bank Caixabank and Spain's largest bank Banco Santander that lost 3.01 percent and 2.48 percent respectively.

Supermarket chain DIA went up 3.52 percent, being the top gainer of the blue chips. Real estate company Inmobiliaria Colonial rose 0.79 percent and steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal advanced 0.43 percent. Enditem
