Shandong remains unbeaten at home after stunning Guangdong in CBA game

BEIJING, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Former NBA player Ty Lawson came out as a substitute to score a game-high 33 points, helping Shandong beat Guangdong 100-85 in the 10th round action of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.

Prior to the match, both Guangdong and Shandong are seven wins against two losses to lead the 20-team league. With the victory, Shandong remains unbeaten at home into the season.

Tao Hanlin made a pair of slam-dunks at the beginning to help Shandong take an 8-2 lead before Lawson took over the game especially during the fourth quarter, scoring 20 of his 33 points from the last period.

Donatas Motiejunas, the other international for Shandong, made a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Miroslav Radulica and Marshon Brooks, combined for 82 points and 22 rebounds, leading Jiangsu to a double-digit advantage in the first half and eventually toppled the defending champion Xinjiang 115-99.

Brooks grabbed 58 points and 12 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. Darius Adams scored a team-high 35 points but was unable to guide Xinjiang for a comeback win.

In Friday's other matches, Liangning beat Shanxi 96-89 for a four-game winning streak. Aolong defeated Jilin 109-96, Beijing cruised past Zhejiang 113-104. Enditem
