Singapore stocks close 0.16 pct lower

SINGAPORE, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) falling 0.16 percent, or 5.45 points, to close at 3,433.54.

A total of 2.87 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 2.69 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.99 billion U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 287 to 175.

The STI index closed down 0.1 percent, or 3.36 points, to close at 3,438.99 on Wednesday. Enditem
