Tokyo shares open lower tracking losses of high-tech shares in U.S.

TOKYO, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares opened lower Thursday tracking losses of high-tech shares on Wall Street overnight.

As of 9:15 a.m. local time, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average fell 63.66 points, or 0.28 percent, from Wednesday to 22,533.54.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 4.83 points, or 0.27 percent, to 1,781.32.

Decliners were led by electric appliance, precision instrument and machinery issues. Enditem
