5 remain trapped after China shipwreck

GUANGZHOU, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Five crew members remained missing as the salvage of a ship which sank after a collision entered its third day.

Divers, four in a group, descended six times to the ship at the mouth of the Pearl River, to look for the missing sailors. Meanwhile, the salvage team is unloading the vessel, according to maritime authorities of Guangdong Province in south China.

About 50 rescue vessels, one helicopter and more than 330 people are taking part in the operation.

Two cargo ships collided at Monday dawn, causing one to sink. Twelve people were aboard at the time of the collision. Seven were rescued. Enditem
