Haikou International Kite Surfing Open to kick off in December

HAIKOU, China, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Haikou International Kite Surfing Open 2017 was to be held from Dec. 1-4 in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province, said the organizers here on Wednesday.

The tournament was open to kite surfing clubs, both professionals and amateurs at home and abroad. About 50 contestants all over the world will compete in the event, vying for a total prize of 50,000 yuan (some 7,600 US dollars).

The tournament features five events, namely hydrofoil board of the international open group, two-way board men's and women's international open groups, as well as China's two-way board men's and women's elite groups. Enditem
