NANCHANG, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- All the workers trapped in a karst cave in east China's Jiangxi Province have been rescued, authorities said Wednesday.

Eight workers became trapped when exploring an undeveloped underground karst cave at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the township of Heyao in Pingxiang city, according to the local government. The first three workers were rescued Monday.

The remaining five were rescued around 4 a.m. Wednesday. The workers had prepared food before becoming trapped, and ventilation was good in the 2-km-long cave, the government said.

More than 200 people were engaged in the rescue work. Enditem
