Tokyo shares recover in morning on bargain-hunting

TOKYO, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares rose slightly Tuesday morning on bargain-hunting following earlier losses due to geopolitical concerns.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 37.73 points, or 0.17 percent, from Monday to 22,533.72.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 1.37 points, or 0.08 percent, at 1,778.10.

Gainers were led by wholesale, transportation equipment and service issues. Enditem
