Traditional Chinese culture highlighted

The first conference on inheritance and innovation of fine traditional Chinese culture was held in Guangzhou recently. This conference was jointly held by Beijing Oriental LOHAS International Culture Exchange Centre, Guangzhou Lingnan Education Group and Lingnan Academy, Henan Preschool Education Development Centre and other organizations.

Around policy, traditional Chinese culture in life, healthy diet education, kungfu and health, Crossover innovation and other topics, 300 scholars, educators and entrepreneurs communicated and discussed on the implementation of the Programme Proposal on Inheriting and Developing of Fine Traditional Chinese Culture.

Liu Xiaoting, professor of Centre for Studies of Chinese Culture in Central South University reported on the Programme Proposal on Inheriting and Developing of Fine Traditional Chinese Culture published by the general offices of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council as well as latest opinions on education of traditional Chinese culture discussed in the two sessions. Professor Liu systematically combed strategies and policies related to traditional Chinese culture in different time periods, as well as explained the key points in the proposal. He emphasized that the call of the central government and related policies need us to roll up our sleeves, work with added energy, be rest assured and work from now on, so that to realize the development and innovation of fine traditional Chinese culture.

Other participants reported and communicated on two main points of this proposal – traditional Chinese culture throughout national education and include traditional Chinese culture into daily life.
